What You'll Find on This Page

Reindeer Template

These reindeer templates are perfect for some last minute Christmas crafts and there’s loads of things you can make with them plus I’m sure you’ll come up with a few ideas yourself.

There are three different designs and you’ll find all of them ready to download in the PDF.

You can pick your favorite design to print or print out all three and of course you can print as many copies as you like too.

The first design is a large blank outline of a reindeer’s face and antlers that’s perfect if you want to do a lot of decorating while the second design is the same but with the reindeer’s eyes, nose and mouth added.

The third of these resources is a different reindeer design showing all of the reindeers body and has a cute little collar and bell too. This would make a great reindeer coloring sheet.

What Should I Print My Template On?

In most cases normal printer paper is absolutely fine however if you are doing a craft with toddlers or preschoolers where they are likely to use a lot of paint or glue then you might want to choose cardstock instead to make it a bit more sturdy.

Free Christmas Craft Templates

We’ve shared loads of free printables that you can download that are perfect for encouraging your kids creativity.

You can use them as coloring sheets or with each one you’ll find lots of great craft ideas that you can try out.

These would be great for a Christmas party at kindergarten or in a classroom, just print out your favourites and leave them with some markers and craft supplies so the kids can get creative.

Of course it wouldn’t be Christmas time without Santa (at least according to my kids anyway!) Our new Santa craft template has three different designs and would be the perfect match for making alongside your reindeer.

We love the template that allows you to add Santa’s beard in yourself.

Our angel template is one of my daughter’s favourites and one that we’ve used to make handprint angels in the past – such a great keepsake!

We’ve got lots of fun ideas for this one so make sure you grab your copy.

Finally our wreath template is a great one for encouraging creativity as there’s so many ways that you can work your way through your craft stash to decorate this one.

Reindeer Craft Ideas

Coloring

These designs are going to work perfectly as reindeer coloring sheets, especially the two with the most detail.

Choose your favorite markers, coloring pencils or crayons and you’re ready to get started creating a masterpiece.

Pom Poms

There are two different ways that you can use pom poms to decorate your reinderr template.

The first is through painting with them, this is an activity we love because it give some great texture to your art and it it’s good for fine motor skills too.

Simply dip a pom pom in a little bit of paint and then dab it onto your reindeer’s face, body and antlers to color it in.

The second way is to grab a red pom pom and glue it onto your reindeer’s nose to make a cute Rudolph craft!

Resist Art

Either of these free printable templates would work brilliantly to make some Christmas themed resist art.

To make this cut your reindeer shape out and then stick some loops of washi tape on the back before sticking it onto brown cardstock or paper.

Now paint all over your reindeer making sure that you cover all the edges.

Once the paint has dried remove your template and your resist art reindeer image will be left behind!

If you haven’t tried resist art before and need a little help with this one why not check out our snowman resist art which has step by step instructions and a video tutorial to help you create it.

Handprints

Cover your hands in brown paint either by pouring some onto a plate and dipping them in or using a paintbrush and then placing them over your reindeer’s antlers to create handprint antlers.

This would make a cute keepsake too as everyone loves to be reminded how small their kids hands were!

Tissue Paper

Use scissors to cut brown tissue paper into squares or use ready cut tissue paper squares and glue these onto your reindeer.

Scrunch up a larger piece of red tissue paper into a ball and glue this onto your reindeer’s nose.

More Reindeer Activities for Kids

This paper bag reindeer craft is so easy to make and kids can use it as a puppet too.
